RemoteDock v0.1.0-beta.1
First public beta release of RemoteDock.
This release introduces the initial downloadable build for technical testers and early contributors. RemoteDock is a native macOS remote file manager for browsing, transferring, previewing, editing, sharing, and synchronizing files across remote storage providers.
Highlights:
- Native macOS interface for remote file browsing and file operations
- Support for SFTP, WebDAV, Nextcloud, S3-compatible storage, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, Backblaze B2, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, and local disk workflows
- Upload, download, folder transfer, synchronization, search, rename, move, copy, delete, and file information actions
- Bookmark management, Quick Connect, connection history, path navigation, and Cyberduck bookmark import/export
- OAuth-based cloud drive setup through the RemoteDock connection UI
- Passwords, OAuth tokens, access keys, and other secrets stored in the macOS Keychain
- Drag-to-Applications DMG packaging with SHA-256 checksum verification
Platform:
- macOS 26.5 or later
- Apple Silicon only (arm64)
Security and distribution notes:
- This beta build is ad-hoc signed and not notarized by Apple
- Gatekeeper may block the first launch until the user explicitly removes quarantine after verifying the checksum and release origin
- Release artifacts are intended for technically experienced testers
Known limitations:
- APIs, data models, protocol behavior, and packaging may change before a stable release
- Developer ID signing and Apple notarization are not enabled yet
- Some legacy connection types represented internally are not available in the New Connection UI
