What changed in 1.7.1
Added
- "Set up supply groups" wizard. It opens automatically when an install finishes — on a
fresh install and on an in-place upgrade of the already-running Engine alike — and any time from
Engine ▸ Preferences ▸ Printers ▸ Set Up Supply Groups…. The window lets you choose how to install the bundled
supply groups. Each available group can be Don't install, Install New, or Install
& Replace — it defaults to Replace when a group of the same name already exists, else
Install New (and Install New over an existing name adds a numbered copy, e.g. "Brady M6 2").
Your existing groups each get a Delete tick, and an "Install all & clear existing"
preset wipes your groups and installs a clean factory set.
Changed
- Buy links are now an editable field per supply part, instead of always sending you to a
Brady part-number search. Brady (M6) parts come pre-filled with that same Brady search link
(so nothing changes for them), and you can edit it or paste your own supplier URL in Engine ▸
Preferences ▸ Printers ▸ Edit Supplies. Parts with a blank buy link — including Brother
P-touch tapes for now — simply show no buy button.
Open alpha: the Brady M611 is hardware-validated; the Brady M610 cut behavior and the Brother P-touch drivers are not yet hardware-confirmed. User Guide · FAQ
