What is Netwatch?
Netwatch is a self-hosted network monitoring dashboard for Windows.
It gives IT admins and home lab users full visibility over every device
on their network — without sending a single byte of data to any cloud service.
Your data stays on your hardware. Always.
What Netwatch does
- Device discovery — automatically scans your subnet and identifies every device by MAC address, vendor, hostname, and device type
- Real-time status — see which devices are online or offline, with latency tracking
- Multi-location support — monitor multiple network locations from one dashboard
- Rogue device detection — get alerted when an unknown device joins your network
- Network topology — visual map of how your devices connect
- Audit logging — cryptographically signed, tamper-evident event log
- User management — Admin, Manager, and User roles with location-based access control
- Agent authorization — per-agent registration with admin approval before any device data is accepted
- AES-256 encryption — all config files encrypted at rest on your server
