v0.1.0-alpha.3 — Connected project walkthrough
A connected project story, from homepage to download
This release publishes the reviewed English and Simplified Chinese READMEs, a reproducible 16-task notification-release example, actual UI screenshots, a clearly labeled dependency explanation, and a 45-second recording with Chinese and English caption tracks.
Application UI, runtime logic and approval boundaries are unchanged from alpha.2. The demonstration contains only synthetic data. Its pending human gate stays pending; no model, real notification or approval is invoked.
Verification
Windows / Ubuntu WSL passed three coherent-example tests and two clean-install/cache tests; native Windows passed 53 frontend/configuration tests. Unchanged application source hashes support reusing the alpha.2 validation for that scope; this release does not claim the entire previous test suite was rerun.
The Windows-built ZIP was checked for relative links and every source-file SHA, then extracted to create a new 16-task example and read it through the CLI. Application and project directories remain separate. Keep examples in a user directory rather than relying on temporary storage for persistence.
Downloads
The custom source ZIP includes the same 86 repository files, plus SOURCE_MANIFEST.json. It contains code, docs, the example, screenshots, recording and subtitles, with no private project state. The recording and both caption tracks are also available as separate attachments.
SHA256SUMS contains checksums for the source ZIP and recording. Compare the line for the file you downloaded, or download both files before running a checksum-file check. Captions are covered by the source manifest in the ZIP.
Requirements remain Python 3.11+ on macOS/Linux or Ubuntu WSL on Windows. Native Windows core service is not supported. This remains an alpha; complete accessibility, sustained comfort, long-term memory behavior and external Codex compatibility retain their documented limits. Presentation approval is separate from full product acceptance.
GitHub Windows CI passed for commit 2a3c71377bcbaa3eec5b8e6b95c0cee318f879d7.
GitHub's repository file viewer does not embed this MP4. Use Download video in the README or the recording attachment below, with either caption file, to watch locally. The recording bytes match the file included in the source ZIP.
v0.1.0-alpha.2 — White workspace UI
White workspace UI
The downloadable application now uses the white-content / light-gray-canvas UI shown in the README, with the complete Noto Sans SC font, consistent reading hierarchy and fewer decorative icons. Task processing, original content and human gates remain intact. Prototype-only controls and misleading memory-reset labels are removed.

Verification
- Windows host / Ubuntu WSL: 156 backend/parser tests passed in a complete run.
- Native Windows Node: 53 frontend/configuration tests passed.
- Windows Chrome / actual local service: 42 checks passed, including real UI writes, CLI readback, refresh, source reading and preserved human gates.
- GitHub Windows CI passed for commit
7b6538b228e1358a8015955ee1b95e92f4d7e1bb. - ZIP file allowlist, documentation references, every member SHA and extracted fresh-project CLI check passed.
Download the custom ZIP below and verify it against SHA256SUMS. It includes source, docs, tests and the OFL-licensed Simplified Chinese font; no personal project state, chats or credentials. Core code is MIT.
Requirements and limits
Python 3.11+ on macOS/Linux, or Ubuntu WSL on Windows; core service does not run on native Windows. UI text is Simplified Chinese. Codex and deterministic indexing are optional. This remains an alpha: no hosted multi-user security, no shared control of active desktop chats, and no claim of complete accessibility, sustained comfort or long-run memory closure. This release did not invoke a real model or re-test real approvals. See version-bound validation and known limits in docs/.
Codex Project Manager v0.1.0-alpha.1
Codex Project Manager — first public alpha
Local-first project management for Codex and AI coding workflows: persistent tasks, dependencies, evidence, decisions, artifacts and chat references, with a browser workspace, CLI and stdio MCP.
Install / 安装
Download codex-project-manager-0.1.0-alpha.1.zip and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, then extract the archive. Read README.md or README.zh-CN.md for the three-command quick start and synthetic demo.
Requires Python 3.11+ on macOS/Linux; Windows users can use Ubuntu WSL. The core uses the Python standard library. Native Windows service execution is unsupported. Codex, Node and parser packages are optional integrations/development dependencies.
Verified scope / 验证范围
- 156 distinct backend/parser cases evaluated on Windows-hosted Ubuntu WSL. One obsolete old-name assertion was fixed; its 26-case module and the two install/cache cases passed targeted rechecks. Unchanged passing evidence was reused, not described as a second full-suite run.
- 53 native Windows frontend/configuration checks passed.
- GitHub Windows CI passed for source commit
81a65e126cbbe8a99b8cadd30f8da7cc70a4464c. - The actual candidate service was used for the synthetic README screenshot. CLI/HTTP identity, restart persistence and an unapproved human gate were checked.
- The Windows-built archive contains 56 source/documentation/image files plus its source manifest. Every member hash and relative documentation link was checked; the extracted archive successfully initialized and read a fresh synthetic project.

Important limits / 边界
This is an alpha, not a claim of complete product maturity. The existing application UI is included; the white redesign is still under review. Existing desktop chat discovery is not shared runtime control. Human decisions remain explicit. Full accessibility, long-duration memory/comfort, and a fresh end-to-end SSH refresh using the portable worker configuration are not claimed as passed.
See docs/validation.md, docs/limitations.md, docs/code-index.md and SECURITY.md. No personal project data, chat export or worker credentials are included. The source is MIT licensed.
