Hot Bath 4.2.0 Preview — 2026-10-21
Development preview for Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge and 1.21.1 / NeoForge.
If using ShowerCore, install the matching ShowerCore 1.2.0 preview.
Choose the JAR for your Minecraft version. Replace old copies and keep one JAR per mod; use the same pair on the server and clients.
Changes since 4.1.2:
- Shared liquid properties, effect timing and optional-mod behavior between world fluids and external bathtubs/pools through Bath API 4.2.0.
- Datapack-configurable built-in bath behavior, dirtiness effect ranges and source conversion; local dirt/fly display controls.
- Bath benefits for eligible friendly mobs, including stationary occupants; four growth stages for bath herbs planted on dirt.
- Correct per-liquid names and preserved white, black and transparent custom-fluid colors.
Validation of the matched pair: 412 JVM tests, 346 core container GameTest methods across both loaders, plus standalone liquid, seasonal and Forge Alex's Caves checks. Actual clients covered 18 base and 19 optional-mod scenarios per loader, including Cold Sweat, Tough As Nails, Legendary Survival Overhaul and Farmer's Delight.
English final verification report — actual game frames held for comparison.
Dedicated multiplayer and shader-pack compatibility are outside this validation. SHA-256 checksums are attached.
Source snapshots: NeoForge 1.21.1, Forge 1.20.1.

Hot Bath 4.1.1
Hot Bath 4.1.1
Patch release for Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge and Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge.
Fixed
- Restored ordinary water and lava bucket filling when Hot Bath is installed, including Create Spouts.
- Restored fluid capabilities for built-in bath buckets and dynamic datapack bath buckets.
- Fixed Create Spout filling of stacked empty buckets while preserving the bath fluid identity.
- Kept legacy bucket metadata unchanged during reads and simulated transactions; invalid bath fluid IDs do not consume buckets or fluid.
Validation and remaining scope
Both branches passed JVM regression tests, 30 native Create filling transactions and 20 real Spout/emptying transactions in a hidden client across 10 fluids. Tested with Create 6.0.9 on NeoForge 1.21.1 and Create 6.0.8 on Forge 1.20.1. Test and recording harnesses are excluded from the production JARs.
Recipe-viewer GUI behavior and other Create compatibility work remain under review in #47 and #33. This release does not claim full modpack acceptance.
Credits
Thanks to FriedCoder-Awesome for the original fix in #73. The equivalent Forge 1.20.1 fix was merged in #74.
