Release v1.0.0 - Initial Release

Overview

We are excited to announce the initial release of SecPlus Exam Prep! This version includes the essential features needed to help users prepare for the CompTIA Security+ examination through both study and exam modes. Below is a detailed breakdown of the features, installation instructions, and source code overview included in this release.

Features

  • Study Mode:

    • Review questions with instant feedback to ensure you understand the correct answers.
    • Multiple choice questions to simulate the exam experience.

  • Exam Mode:

    • Simulate the actual examination environment without instant feedback.
    • Answer a set of questions and receive a performance breakdown at the end.

  • Intuitive UI:

    • Clean and simple user interface.
    • Progress tracking to monitor your preparation.

Installation

To install and run the app:

  1. Clone the repository to your local machine:

    git clone https://github.com/CraigOpie/SecPlus.git`

  2. Open the project in Xcode.

  3. Build and run the app on the desired simulator or a physical device.

Usage

  1. Launch the app.
  2. Choose either "Study Mode" or "Exam Mode".
  3. Answer questions. In study mode, instant feedback is provided after each question.
  4. At the end of the set, a performance breakdown is displayed.

Source Code Overview

  • Question.swift:

    • Main model for the questions and answers.
    • Supports both single and multiple correct answers.
    • Method to check if the given answer(s) is/are correct.

  • ContentView.swift:

    • Primary view of the application.
    • Handles both the menu for selecting the mode and the main quiz interface.
    • Contains methods for loading questions, checking answers, progressing through questions, and retrying the quiz.
    • Custom SwiftUI view for the progress bar.
