Release v7.63.0
The Screenplay skills now teach the language and tooling released in Screenplay 4.172.0 to 4.198.0, and say what Stage 4.127.0 renders from each feature. The compiler pin moves to Screenplay 4.198.0.
Added
- Atomic reaction batches (
reaction batches atomic, ESM v22): when to declare them, what one batch covers, the rollback and budget rules, and that new models start with them. (#717) - Described command handlers (ESM v23): the payload-only result contract, PLAY0695–PLAY0698, and how specifications and Stage treat a pending handler. (#722)
- First-class text rules
contains, starts withandends withon properties (ESM v24), the PLAY0787 repair for legacy text-rule patterns, and thePortableMatchPattern.Check/checkPortableMatchPatternAPIs. (#724) - Protected command reads (
command reads protected, ESM v25): which reads qualify, read.propertypaths inrequireand produced events, absence and concurrent-change rejection, and PLAY0780–PLAY0786. (#720) - Reading the typed
argumentsof compiler diagnostics instead of parsing message text, with the codes that carry them and how to tolerate older responses. (#728) - Mapping
$eventSourceIdor$eventContext.eventSourceIdinto an invoked command from a reaction. (#734) - Captures over public events in specifications (PLAY0700, PLAY0701) and the PLAY0694 warning for a directionless Translate slice that reacts to its own capture. (#712)
- Added-only first observations in record captures. (#716)
- MCP generation details:
generation.arguments, exact support counts and entropy, derivedPattern, and per-rule proof status with witnesses and repairs. (#698) - Generated values:
generate patternwith optional checksums, generate randomranges andgenerate rule, rule proofs (PLAY0688, PLAY0689),validate checksum, the target-neutral generation context, and theGenerationStrategyCatalog,SemanticConceptCheck.CheckandSemanticValidationRules.CheckAPIs for tool authors. Fundamentals 7.25.0GenerateValue.Pattern,IntegerandHasValidChecksumin the concept skill. (part of #576)
Changed
- The
matchesrule is taught as Screenplay's portable match dialect, including its anchors, character classes, whitespace set and PLAY0699 refusals, instead of as a platform regular expression. (#723) - Stage guidance states what Stage 4.127.0 admits (ESM v1–v21 and v23–v25), what it refuses (v22, described handlers, atomic batches, protected reads) and which generated-value strategies it renders. Statements that described handlers never bind or that every read is unprotected are corrected.
- The Screenplay compiler pin is 4.198.0.
