Builds that run the proxy generator and the embedded Screenplay document generation are faster on large solutions, with identical output.

Changed

  • The proxy generator no longer re-reads every type of every project assembly for each type it collects, and no longer scans lists for membership or all generated files per index directory, which made generation grow quadratically with solution size (#3400)
  • Embedded Screenplay document generation is skipped when none of the sources, references, analyzers, settings or generator it depends on changed since the last build; the previous documents are reused. A build that reported a warning always runs again so the warning is shown again (#3399)
  • Embedded Screenplay documents for each scope are produced in parallel, and sources and references are parsed and loaded in parallel, keeping the same output and diagnostic order (#3399)
