Fixed

  • A MongoDB call no longer hangs forever when its cancellation token fires while it waits for a connection slot, or is already cancelled when the call starts. The caller's task now completes as cancelled (Refs #2858)

An opt-out of the resilience layer was dropped from this PR after review: with the layer off, the shared cached MongoClient would be disposed at the end of the first request scope. The opt-out, or removing the layer, stays with #2858 for a major release.
