Added

  • IArcBuilder.WithoutControllers() turns off MVC and controller discovery, for applications that only use model-bound commands and queries. Controllers stay on by default (Refs #2880)

Changed

  • Arc registers ASP.NET Core authorization itself instead of relying on MVC to do it (Refs #2880)
  • With controllers on, MVC is now registered after the configureBuilder callback; configure MvcOptions and MVC's JsonOptions after AddCratisArc returns (Refs #2880)
  • AddControllersFromProjectReferencedAssembles is annotated [RequiresUnreferencedCode]/[RequiresDynamicCode] (Refs #2880)

With controllers off, the application registers CORS (AddCors) and, for Swashbuckle, AddEndpointsApiExplorer itself, since MVC no longer does. WithoutControllers keeps MVC out at runtime; letting the trimmer remove it is tracked in #2895.

Reviewed with Anthropic models only (no cross-provider review available right now).
