• A Chronicle kernel could reach a state where it was unable to start at all. Registering the persisted projection definitions was the one startup step that did not retry, and it is the step likeliest to exceed the response timeout, because registering fans a subscribe out across every observer in the store rather than doing a single grain's work — so the time it needs grows with the store. Once a store grew past that point the timeout terminated the host, the next attempt hit the same wall, and the kernel stayed down until someone intervened. (#4088)
• The Week calendar accessor is now an extension method. It shipped as an extension property, which cannot be used for the one thing it exists for — the language does not permit an extension property inside an expression tree, and these accessors are only ever written inside one. A path built with it is now also rendered as the bare name rather than with a trailing (), matching the name the registry is keyed by; the parenthesized form is still accepted when parsing.
