Adds a manual, dry-run-by-default workflow that builds the canonical Python gRPC contracts from the exact tag of a published release and, only on an explicit attach, adds them to that same release. PyPI publication is unchanged and stays disabled; this is temporary asset distribution, not PyPI publishing.

  • Attach Python Contract Release Assets workflow: accepts only an exact vMAJOR.MINOR.PATCH tag of a published release, builds from that tag's source with the canonical generator, and attaches the wheel, sdist, SHA256SUMS and provenance.json to the same release without overwriting any existing asset (part of #4554)
  • Documentation for the temporary release-asset distribution of the Python contracts (part of #4554)

Changed

  • The Python contracts package now supports Python 3.10 through 3.14 (previously 3.12+), matching the idiomatic Python clients; grpcio 1.83 and protobuf 7.35 both support 3.10. The build verifies the wheel declares Requires-Python: >=3.10, and CI and the release-asset smoke run on 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, 3.13 and 3.14 (part of #4554)
