Summary

A ReadModelScenario initial state is now converted through the same schema-aware JSON path as seeded events, so a projection-backed read model can be seeded with nonempty JsonObject values. Seeded scalars, concepts and dictionaries keep their values, and reducers still receive the typed initial state.

A possible follow-up is teaching the shared ExpandoObjectExtensions.AsExpandoObject to handle JsonNode values explicitly, so no other caller can recurse through JsonNode.Parent. That is shared infrastructure and is left out of this change.

Fixed

  • Seeding a projection-backed ReadModelScenario with an initial state containing a nonempty JsonObject no longer crashes the test host with a stack overflow (#3993)
