Release v19.49.0
Every-mappings now cover events handled only by child collections, and projection preview returns the same documents as the saved projection for children and joins.
Changed
- Every-event mappings (
FromEvery,FromAll, model-bound[FromEvery], and PDLevery) now also apply to events handled only by child or nested-child collections. The mapped values are written to the parent read model the child belongs to. Opt out withExcludeChildProjections()in the fluent builder orexclude childrenin PDL; model-bound[FromEvery]always includes children (#4725)
Fixed
- Projection preview, used when querying a projection declaration from a client and in the Workbench projection editor, now returns the documents the saved projection would persist. Keyed child updates update the existing child instead of adding a duplicate, removed children are removed, and join events from another event source update every read model they join into instead of creating documents of their own (#4727)
- Child projections computed on demand for a single read model no longer keep children removed with
RemovedWith(part of #4542) - When a child is removed through
RemovedWithJoin, the parent read models it belonged to still receive their every-event mappings (#4725) - The documentation examples for model-bound child updates, child joins and child removal through a join now match how child joins correlate, so they run as described (#4725)
