Summary

Tags rendered edge to edge whatever the group's gap said. React Aria renders a wrapper between the root and the tag list which generates a block box, so the list's display: contents stopped there — the tags never became flex items of the root and the gap never reached them. The wrapper now disappears from layout too, and a consumer's gap applies. It was not fixable downstream: the wrapper carries no part.
