Fixed

v1.6.0 tagged but published nothing - the packaging build failed. It fails in ways an ordinary build cannot see, because packaging multi-targets net8.0, net9.0 and net10.0 while a normal build is net10.0 only.

  • The new Orleans.Storage.Sql.Specs project was multi-targeted along with everything else, but the provider it specifies is net10.0 only because EF Core 10 is. Restore failed with NU1201 on a project reference that cannot resolve for net8.0/net9.0. It now carries the same IsPackaging condition the provider itself uses.
  • ConventionPacks used System.Threading.Lock, which does not exist on net8.0. Now a plain object, with the reason recorded next to it.

Notes

Verified by running what the publish workflow actually runs - the multi-targeted Release build with -p:IsPackaging=true and the dotnet pack loop - rather than only the Debug build, which is what let both of these through. All four packages build and pack.
