Stage runs the same ApplicationHost the preview does (Cratis/Stage#407), but it needs its data, its command dispatcher and its chrome state around both the screen and the dialogs, and its own backdrop and keyboard handling around a dialog template. Neither was possible without re-implementing the host.

Added

  • ApplicationHost.scope(navigation, children): what a host provides around everything that renders - the screen on the page and the dialog over it - inside the navigation providers.
  • ApplicationHost.renderDialogTemplate(template, content, navigation): the host draws a dialog template the document declares, in place of the plain one; called inside scope.
  • What a host draws through renderScreen and renderDialogTemplate runs as part of the application, so a hook it uses runs under the providers scope put in place.
