Changed

  • A navigation item authored with slot <name>, where <name> is an outlet the shell declares (not a nested core:outlet of a screen), renders its target into that slot: ApplicationHost hosts the outlet (CompositionOptions.hostedOutlets), placeInOutlet keeps the primary screen and places the target beside it (shellOutletOwner), and both items are active.
  • The default AppShell draws any slot beyond its own regions as a side pane; a hosted outlet has a Close button backed by the new closeOutlet(name) on the navigation context.
  • Documentation in preview-host.md.

Fixed

  • Stage's slot side item no longer replaces the page in the primary outlet (Cratis/Stage#456).
