template blueprint <Blueprint> <Name> [version "<range>"] references a template a blueprint package ships, beside the own template <Name>. It is valid wherever template is: as a module, feature or slice assignment and inside a screen. The optional version is the semver range of the blueprint the author accepts - Scene's subset (*, an exact version, ^, ~, >=, >, <=, <), the same one Scene's TemplateReference.version and resolveTemplateReference use. PLAY0721 reports a range Scene cannot read; PLAY0722 reports a blueprint no ui profile lists under packages (checked only when a profile declares packages). Version drift and unknown blueprint templates are reported where the blueprint is installed (Scene TemplateReferenceResolver), because the compiler cannot see a package's catalog.
scopes slice statechange, scopes slice stateview and scopes slice statechange|stateview narrow a slice-scoped template to slice kinds - Scene's TemplateMetadata.sliceKinds. Using a restricted template on an excluded slice kind, or on an automation or translate slice (which present nothing), is PLAY0631. The conformance vector when_checking_template_applicability_against_the_scene_vectors restates the cases of Scene's shared template-applicability-fixtures.json (ApplicableTemplates) as Screenplay source.
PLAY0720 (warning): a layout, screen template or dialog template without a category. A blueprint package build treats warnings as errors, so there it fails; an own template only warns. (#761)
The new members round-trip through the C# and TypeScript compilers, the printer (including comments on category), the syntax schema and the MCP contract; keywords, hover documentation and diagnostics reach Monaco and the VS Code grammar; the TypeScript compiler and C# are held to the same template-references conformance vector. (#761)
Changed
Every sample, canonical-corpus source and fixture that declares a layout or template now declares a category, so they compile warning-free.
Docs: templates.md (own and blueprint templates, category, applicability), grammar.md, ui-profile.md, diagnostics.md, the capability matrix. (#761)
