Release v4.194.0
Diagnostics now carry named, typed arguments, so editors, hosts and tools can act on a diagnostic without parsing its message text.
Added
Diagnostic.Argumentscarries the subjects of a diagnostic as named values: text, keyword, index or declaration path. Each code declares its arguments, with their kinds and meanings, in the diagnostic catalog and the published contract. The names, kinds and meanings are permanent. Sixteen codes carry arguments in this release, among them PLAY0524 (an incomplete specification step), which names the specification, the step role and position, the missing property and its type, and the example or case. MCP and thescreenplaytool include the arguments in their JSON output. See Diagnostics. (#804)
