Added

  • A new warning, PLAY0803, reports a matches pattern that can backtrack exponentially in browser engines, such as (a+)+$, (a|a)* or (a*)*, and names the ambiguous subexpression with a simpler rewrite where one exists. The C# compiler, the TypeScript compiler, Monaco and VS Code report it identically; very large patterns are not analyzed. (#806)
