Summary

Screenplay source can now declare exact numbers. A file that starts with numbers exact keeps every number as a bounded decimal through parsing, printing, editing and transport instead of rounding it to a floating-point value. This is the source and syntax stage only: exact documents do not produce an executable model until ESM v7 admits them.

Added

  • A top-level numbers exact preamble opts a file into exact numbers; its numbers are read, printed and transported as bounded decimals without rounding, in both the C# and TypeScript compilers. (part of #285)
  • New diagnostics for exact numbers: unknown, repeated, misplaced or nested numeric directives, numbers outside the exact decimal range, and files or import barrels that disagree on numeric mode (PLAY0508–PLAY0513). (part of #285)
  • Proposed decision 0024 describes the exact numeric source mode and its path to ESM v7. (part of #285)

Changed

  • Valid numbers exact documents report PLAY0268 when bound, because ESM v7 is not admitted yet. Files without the preamble parse, print and serialize exactly as before. (part of #285)
  • MCP tools refuse to return exact numbers through the older fixture format rather than rounding them. (part of #285)
