Minor release: what a run spent, in machine-readable form.

Added

  • cost on every result (#79, PR #132): a dollar amount when the lane was priced and returned usage, 0.0 when it is free or on a subscription, and null when the cost is unknown. Do not read null as free.
  • A spend object, {actual, estimated_worst_case, budget, unpriced}, in --diff --json, --discuss --json, --synthesize --json and every transcript. actual includes the --diff readers. If unpriced names any lanes, actual is a lower bound.
  • --diff and --synthesize now print the human spend: line.

Unchanged

Plain --json is still a bare list of results. Sum it with jq 'map(.cost // 0) | add'. The object form is tracked for 2.0 in #131.

v1.2.0

Minor release: per-lane TLS trust for http lanes.

Added

  • ca_bundle: PATH (#78, PR #130): an http lane can reach a self-hosted or corporate endpoint behind a private CA. The bundle replaces the system roots for that lane only, so the private CA cannot vouch for any other host. A missing or bad bundle fails the lane with an error that names the path.
  • insecure: true: turns verification off for one lane and prints a warning on every call. It cannot be a default, cannot be combined with ca_bundle, and is rejected on cli/acp lanes.
  • skill/toolpanel.py tool rounds use the same per-lane TLS settings.

Nothing changes when neither key is set. There's no longer any reason to use PYTHONHTTPSVERIFY=0, which turns verification off for every lane.

v1.1.1

@CryptoJones CryptoJones released this 07 Oct 05:17

Patch release: no more leaked file descriptors.

Fixed

  • Closed every file descriptor the lanes leaked (#90, PR #129):
    • http lanes: a 429 or 5xx error held its connection open. It is now closed on the retry path and when the lane gives up.
    • cli lanes: pipes leaked when a lane timed out and was killed.
    • acp lanes: stdin and stdout pipes were never closed.
    • The store: a missing or wrong DB key left the SQLite connection open.
  • CI now fails if any ResourceWarning appears, so a new leak cannot pass silently.

No change in behavior. roundtable --version reports roundtable 1.1.1.
