When you add a new item, sometimes it doesn't add the value to the table

Describe the bug
When you add a new item, I think the code is saying that it's stopped adding too quickly and not updating the table before it's changed the value.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open a project.
2. Click on the add button.
3. Wait a few seconds.
4. Type in something for your item.
5. You'll see that it won't update.

Expected behavior
It should update the blank value.
