Activation

CyberLauncher offers multiple ways to activate the launcher: global shortcuts, hot corners, and multi-monitor support.


Global Shortcut

Default Shortcut

Press Alt+Shift+L to toggle the launcher from any application.

Customizing the Shortcut

  1. Go to Settings β†’ General
  2. Click the shortcut field
  3. Press your desired key combination
  4. Save

Requirements

  • Must include at least one modifier (Alt, Ctrl, Shift)
  • Cannot conflict with system shortcuts
  • Some combinations may be reserved by other apps

Hot Corners

How Hot Corners Work

Move your cursor to any screen corner to activate the launcher:

  • No keyboard required
  • Instant activation on corner entry
  • Configurable activation delay

Configuration

Setting Description
Top-left Enable/disable top-left corner
Top-right Enable/disable top-right corner
Bottom-left Enable/disable bottom-left corner
Bottom-right Enable/disable bottom-right corner
Activation delay Delay before activation (ms)

Activation Delay

Set a delay to prevent accidental activation:

  • 0 ms β€” Instant activation
  • 200 ms β€” Short delay (recommended)
  • 500 ms β€” Longer delay

Multi-Monitor Support

Display Selection

Choose which monitor shows the launcher:

Option Description
Primary Always show on primary monitor
Specific Choose a specific display
Follow cursor Show on monitor with cursor

Follow Cursor Mode

The launcher appears on whichever monitor contains your cursor:

  • Activate shortcut on any monitor
  • Launcher appears on that screen
  • Ideal for multi-monitor workflows

Auto-Hide

Hide on Blur

The launcher automatically hides when:

  • You switch to another application
  • You click outside the launcher
  • You press Escape

Setting Description
Hide on blur Enable/disable auto-hide
Blur animation Fade out effect

Keep Visible

To keep the launcher visible:

  • Pin it (click the pin button)
  • Or disable hide-on-blur in settings
  • Useful for reference or monitoring

Single Instance

Behavior

Only one instance of CyberLauncher can run:

  • Pressing the shortcut again focuses the existing window
  • No duplicate windows
  • System tray icon for access

System Tray

The tray icon provides:

  • Right-click menu for quick actions
  • Open launcher
  • Settings
  • Quit

Startup Options

Launch with Windows

CyberLauncher can start automatically:

  • Settings β†’ System β†’ Start with Windows
  • Or: Windows Settings β†’ Apps β†’ Startup

Start Minimized

Option to start in system tray:

  • App runs but window is hidden
  • Access via system tray or shortcut
  • Reduces startup visual impact
