CyberFeeds features a custom notification window that alerts you to new articles with batching, keyword filtering, and snooze functionality.
When new articles are published:
- A custom notification window appears
- Notifications are batched to avoid flooding
- Click to open the article
- Configure which feeds and keywords trigger alerts
The custom notification window is:
- Transparent and frameless
- Positioned on any screen corner
- Multi-monitor aware
- Non-intrusive (doesn't steal focus)
Each notification shows:
- Feed name and icon
- Article title
- Publication time
- Thumbnail (if available)
- Action buttons

Mute feeds to suppress their notifications:
- Go to Settings β Notifications
- Select feeds to mute
- Muted feeds won't trigger notifications
- Articles still download normally
Right-click a feed β Notification settings:
- Mute/unmute the feed
- Set custom keywords for the feed
Only notify when articles match keywords:
- Add keywords to watch list
- Notifications trigger only for matching articles
- Case-insensitive matching
- Go to Settings β Notifications β Keyword Filters
- Add keywords (one per line)
- Optionally specify feeds to monitor
bitcoin β Notify for any article mentioning "bitcoin"
AI, machine learning β Notify for "AI" or "machine learning"
Temporarily suppress all notifications:
- Click Snooze in notification window
- Or use the snooze shortcut
- Choose duration: 15min, 30min, 1hr, 2hr, 4hr

- Snooze indicator in system tray
- Time remaining shown
- Cancel snooze anytime
View past notifications:
- Access via the Notification History panel
- Shows dismissed notifications
- Grouped by feed and time
- Clear history option

When fullscreen applications are detected:
- Notifications are suppressed
- No popups during gaming or presentations
- Articles queue for later delivery
CyberFeeds detects fullscreen windows:
- Games in fullscreen mode
- Video players
- Presentation software
- Any application in fullscreen

| Show silently | No sound, no animation |
Default notification sound plays when:
- New articles arrive
- (If sound is enabled in settings)
Replace with your own sound file:
- Go to Settings β Notifications
- Enable Sound
- Select custom sound file
- Supported formats: MP3, WAV, OGG

- Select target monitor for notifications
- Notifications appear on the configured monitor
