• The mode now lives in a bar along the bottom: TYPING · Ctrl+Space for shortcuts while you type; in shortcut mode the whole bar lights up and lists keys you can press (or click). SHORTCUT · paused while a popup has the keys. The blue frame round the window and the corner tag are gone; Update/Restart sit at the bar's right end.

• Grid no longer shows a pane number beside the tab number.

• The Files editor (i in Files) can now select (Shift+arrows, mouse drag, double-click, Ctrl+A), copy, cut and paste (Ctrl+C/X/V and your terminal's own paste), and undo/redo (Ctrl+Z/Y). While editing, the bottom row shows Save, Copy, Paste, Undo and Done.

• Text in a file you're only viewing can be dragged over and copied with Ctrl+C.

• A paste while Files has the keys stays in Files; press Esc to close Files, or click a pane to paste there.

• The corner always shows the mode: TYPING, or SHORTCUT · Esc to type with a sky frame round the window. A key that isn't a shortcut says how to type.

• Leader c now opens Changes (was d), and ? lists every key (F1 no longer does). , opens Settings.

• The theme's background now fills the whole screen by default. To keep your terminal's own background (transparency, images), set Settings › Appearance › Background to terminal.
