Liney v0.1.1 — Linux Release
Liney v0.1.1 — Linux Release
Stable GitHub Release (not flagged as a pre-release).
Linux compatibility: The initial x86_64 assets were built on CachyOS. Their bundled Bun engine currently requires glibc 2.44, so these first assets are not supported on Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 12/13, or distributions with older glibc. Ubuntu 24.04/ARM64 builds are still being checked in GitHub Actions. Please verify your system's libc compatibility before using these binaries.
Distribution: AppImage, Debian .deb, RPM, portable .tar.gz, Flatpak .flatpak and an Arch .pkg.tar.zst are provided for x86_64, together with SHA256 checksums. The Flatpak is a direct-download bundle, not a Flathub listing. AUR liney / liney-bin metadata is ready in the source repository, but packages are not yet published to aur.archlinux.org; GitHub packages do not appear in yay automatically.
Liney 0.1.1 — Linux Release
This release bundles the latest Linux desktop experience from October 2026.
- Refreshed desktop interface, contact/friend sync diagnostics and chat history recovery.
- Expanded LineJS integrations, groups, Notes, albums, profile management, and raw Flex inspection (developer setting).
- E2EE persistence/recovery updates and incremental background sync.
- Experimental audio/video calling, screen capture helpers for Wayland and X11.
- Linux packaging for .deb, .rpm, AppImage, Portable, Flatpak and AUR manifests.
Status: Stable GitHub Release distribution (not an official LINE/LY Corporation client). LINE protocol functionality may change without notice. Some functions (including calls, screen sharing, VOOM/Notes) are experimental or require compatible accounts/environments. Supported packages do not imply that every feature is available on every desktop.
Binary distributions are built and verified by the GitHub Actions release workflow. Checksum files accompany Linux artifacts. Flatpak on Flathub and AUR publication are separate from GitHub Releases and require their own distribution review/account access.
