commit 7bd41e8 (HEAD -> fmc54_hack, origin/fmc54_hack)
Author: Peter Milne peter.milne@d-tacq.com
Date: Fri Oct 11 08:51:00 2024 +0100
acq2106sfp_fmc54.dts hack to add an entry for a possible EEPROM at 0x54
each site. This to cover the case that FMC modules will from now move
24c32 PROMS from 0x50 to 0x54 to avoid incompatibility with 24c02,
a problem first identified to us by Mike Abbot, and cover the case
that FMC modules may actually be used in ELF sites. Test case for
hi-power DIO482, for example.
Propsed usage:
- select an acq2106sfp unit
- replace /mnt/dtb.d/acq2106sfp.dtb with acq2106sfp_fmc54.dtb
- reboot. each site will probe 2 EEPROMS, hopefully finding ONE.
"replace means"
mkdir /mnt/local/SAFE
cp /mnt/dtb.d/acq2106sfp.dtb /mnt/local/SAFE
cp /mnt/dtb.d/acq2106sfp_fmc54.dtb /mnt/dtb.d/acq2106sfp.dtb
NOT approved for shipment! Delete after use.
