PlaudVault v0.3.0 — primera distribución Linux

Primera versión con instalador y escritorio Bóveda nocturna.

Descargas

Incluyen Python, la CLI, el frontend y el lanzador Tauri. El sistema necesita WebKitGTK, GTK, bubblewrap y los componentes multimedia declarados; apt resuelve esas dependencias al instalar el .deb.

Instalar y empezar

Guarda la passphrase: sin ella no puedes recuperar el audio cifrado. Encontrarás también PlaudVault en el menú de aplicaciones.

Límites de esta versión

Solo se cifra el audio; transcripciones y notas permanecen en claro. No protege contra malware activo en la sesión. Sin swap cifrado, la RAM puede acabar en disco. La configuración medida no garantiza cero rastro en todas las distribuciones o versiones de WebKitGTK.

La GUI no obtiene el token ni ejecuta sync: se gestionan desde la CLI. Los modelos Whisper no están incluidos y pueden descargarse en la primera transcripción. Compatibilidad inicial: Ubuntu 24.04 x86_64; otras plataformas no están verificadas.

Proyecto no oficial, sin relación con Plaud. Usa una API web no documentada que puede cambiar.

PlaudVault v0.3.0 — first Linux release

First version with an installer and the Bóveda nocturna ("Night Vault") desktop app.

They include Python, the CLI, the frontend and the Tauri launcher. The system needs WebKitGTK, GTK, bubblewrap and the declared multimedia components; apt resolves those dependencies when installing the .deb.

Keep your passphrase safe: without it the encrypted audio cannot be recovered. PlaudVault also appears in the applications menu.

Limits of this version

Only the audio is encrypted; transcripts and notes stay in plain text. It does not protect against active malware in the session. Without encrypted swap, RAM may end up on disk. The measured configuration does not guarantee zero trace on every distribution or WebKitGTK version.

The GUI does not obtain the token or run sync: those are handled from the CLI. Whisper models are not included and may be downloaded on the first transcription. Initial compatibility: Ubuntu 24.04 x86_64; other platforms are not verified.

Unofficial project, not affiliated with Plaud. It uses an undocumented web API that may change.
