• create a new branch to prepare the release

• Add [rel] in the PR title for build and run all tests

• update the VERSION file

• update the README

• check the build with all deps

• Create the release on github with a v... tag

• Copy the Zenodo link

• Go to the actions "deploy pipy" and run the workflow on the branch v...

• Checkout the code and build the doc

• Remove the html/Mathjax/.git folder

• Copy the doc to /stable and v... in the doc folder on dgtal.github.io

• Bump the VERSION in the main for the next beta release
