📦 v1.0.6 – Improved X-Forwarded-For Header Handling

✨ What's Changed

  • Improved handling of the X-Forwarded-For header in sendTrackingRequest:
    • The previous implementation overwrote any existing X-Forwarded-For values.
    • This release ensures that if an incoming request already includes a X-Forwarded-For header (e.g., from upstream proxies), the original values are preserved and the current client IP is appended.
    • This better maintains the full chain of proxy hops, allowing Matomo to track the correct client IP when configured to use the first IP in the chain.

📌 Note for Matomo Setup

Ensure your Matomo instance is configured to use the first IP in the X-Forwarded-For header to take advantage of this update.
