NOT a full release of ConsoleEmulator. This doesn't have any text rendering. This is just a showcase of the new UI.

Changelog:

  • New project selection menu
  • New UI settings menu
    • Button for toggling text matrix background
    • Button for toggling button transparency
  • Optional text matrix background
  • Debug menu (shows mouse/keyboard info)
  • Back buttons made slightly wider
  • Removed Orbitron Desaturated theme
  • An easter egg found by pressing a certain key :)

Compiled binaries are provided for:

  • Windows on AMD64 windows
  • Windows on AMD64, without OpenJDK17 windows-nojava
  • Linux on AMD64 linux-amd64
  • Linux on 64 bit ARM linux-aarch64
  • Linux on 32 bit ARM linux-arm

The windows binary includes OpenJDK 17. For others, you need to download it manually.

UI test release 3 for CE

Changelog:

  • Displays language select menu and a tutorial when starting CE for the first time
  • Editor button in the main menu is now grayed out
  • Factory Reset button added that resets save file to default
  • Added a new theme, Orbitron Dark (Desaturated)

Compiled binaries are provided for:

  • Windows on AMD64 windows
  • Linux on AMD64 linux-amd64
  • Linux on 64 bit ARM linux-aarch64
  • Linux on 32 bit ARM linux-arm

The Windows binary include JRE17. For others, you need to download it manually.

  • New green theme, with a new font (inspired by Jebediah Kerman's theme)
  • New language: Turkish (translation by Jebediah Kerman)

  • Linux on 32 bit ARM arm

This is the first release of this utility, finally taking it out of private development!

If you catch any bugs, or have suggestions, pop it in the Issues tab. The main README of this project has the documentation for this project. If you want the simplest way to get this utility and run it, download the .zip attached below. After you extract it, everything you need is in there, including a distribution of Java.

This project is fully open-source and will be free forever. If you choose to use this in a video, all you have to do is to credit it somewhere. Other than that, follow the license and you should be good!
