Download LeafLoom-0.1.2-windows-x64-setup.exe, quit LeafLoom normally, and run the installer over the existing installation. Notes, settings, credentials and models are retained. The package is unsigned. SHA-256 is provided in SHA256SUMS.txt.

Changes

• Settings → General → App updates: current/latest versions, verified installer downloads, a progress bar and installer launch after normal quit.
• Shared user data, models and credentials between Dev and the installed app.
• Persistent model preparation/download progress and the actual model folder location.
• Source desktop launchers with automatic frontend updates, plus the trilingual product website.

Validation

Frontend build and 26 desktop tests passed. Embedded-runtime self-check passed. The exact Windows installer was installed successfully over 0.1.0; installed version 0.1.2 started with its authenticated local service available, and configuration/credential hashes were preserved. Future-version update download/installation through Settings has unit coverage but has not been exercised end to end against a newer public release. See the attached Windows validation report.

macOS Apple Silicon

Download LeafLoom-0.1.2-macos-arm64.dmg. SHA-256 is provided in SHA256SUMS-macos.txt. The package is unsigned and not notarized. The embedded-runtime self-check passed; macOS installation and launch have not been verified.

• Edit formatted Markdown directly with slash commands, block dragging, tables, links, equations, diagrams and attachments. Formatted and source views share undo history.
• Preserve drafts and conflicting values during browser-origin migration and save conflicts.
• Built-in Secure MCP Tunnel settings with encrypted saved credentials and connection lifecycle handling.
• Improved note editing and multilingual starter examples.
• Application, backend and frontend versions are now 0.1.1; repository agent instructions are in English.

Download and install

Download LeafLoom-0.1.1-macos-arm64.dmg, open it, and drag LeafLoom to Applications. Quit the existing app before replacing it. No preinstalled Python or Node.js is required. BGE-M3 model weights are not bundled.

Windows 10/11 x64: download LeafLoom-0.1.1-windows-x64-setup.exe and run the current-user installer. The Windows package is unsigned. See SHA256SUMS-windows.txt and LeafLoom-0.1.1-windows-x64-validation.txt for its checksum and validation results. Intel Mac is not supported.

Like 0.1.0, this package is unsigned and not notarized. macOS may block the first launch; default Gatekeeper acceptance is not claimed.

LeafLoom v0.1.0

LeafLoom 0.1.0 includes Windows x64 and macOS Apple Silicon desktop installers with a private Python runtime. No preinstalled Python or Node.js is required.

Current downloads — updated October 15, 2026

Both updated installers use source commit 449ff093a5ed306b81029fcd333bd43cff7b243d and retain application version 0.1.0.

• macOS 14+ Apple Silicon: LeafLoom-0.1.0-macos-arm64.449ff09.dmg — 564,420,325 bytes (538.3 MiB). Open the DMG and drag LeafLoom to Applications. Intel Mac is not supported.
• Windows 10/11 x64: LeafLoom-0.1.0-windows-x64-setup.449ff09.exe — 488,490,290 bytes (465.9 MiB). Run the current-user installer.
• Checksums: SHA256SUMS.449ff09.txt covers these two updated installers and the current Mac validation report.

Both installers are unsigned. The Mac app is also not notarized and may be blocked on first launch. Default Gatekeeper acceptance has not been validated. Windows may display an unknown-publisher or SmartScreen prompt.

Included changes

• Independent desktop window, system tray/menu bar, login-start controls and migration from the source-installed service.
• Lightweight startup and file reading, recoverable catalog cache and a separate model/index worker loaded on demand.
• Multilingual starter vault and updated examples.
• Built-in Secure MCP Tunnel settings and the pinned official Tunnel runtime, with encrypted saved credentials and connection lifecycle handling. See the desktop guide.
• BGE-M3 model weights are not bundled; prepare the model explicitly in settings when semantic search is needed.

Validation of the updated Mac package

Built locally on macOS 15.7.8 ARM64. The frontend production build, 9 desktop security/lifecycle checks and 8 Tunnel authentication/lifecycle checks passed. Tunnel checks included execution of the native Mac runtime against a local mock control plane.

The final DMG was mounted read-only and verified. Packaged application, backend and frontend files match the current checkout. The private backend executed from the DMG and passed both smoke scenarios, covering offline edits, keyword search without model weights, authenticated MCP and shutdown/port cleanup.

See LeafLoom-0.1.0-macos-arm64.449ff09-validation.txt for build provenance and limits. A fresh packaged-window/Keychain test, signed Gatekeeper acceptance, a real remote Tunnel/ChatGPT connection, real OS dialogs/login restart, live migration, upgrade/uninstall and model download/MPS inference were not tested for this update. Windows checks were not rerun on this Mac.

Earlier 0.1.0 packages

The original unsuffixed installers and Mac validation TXT/ZIP remain attached for the original source commit dd0c07bdbcb781b04ecc1d450ca50a96412a3503. Their checksums are in SHA256SUMS.txt; their packaged-window and migration evidence applies to that earlier build. Use the 449ff09 downloads above for the current code.

The existing v0.1.0 Git tag remains at the original commit. Updated binary provenance is recorded by the commit suffix and validation report.
