A native WinUI 3 companion for Python Install Manager, with Fluent / Material 3 Expressive, four interface languages, offline bundles, and installation progress with cancellation.

📋 Before installing

Windows 11 x64, .NET Runtime 10 x64, Windows App Runtime 2.5.1+ compatible 2.x x64, and Python Install Manager are required. The unpackaged/MSI runtime path also requires the Visual C++ v14 Redistributable x64. Runtimes are not bundled or automatically downloaded by PyDeck.

🔏 These packages are self-signed previews, not publicly trusted production releases. MSIX users must explicitly trust the public certificate in Local Computer → Trusted People before installation. MSI does not require that trust import. Choose one installer format; they do not upgrade each other.

🧪 Validation

  • ✅ 39 core checks, including real file-lock regressions for safe settings replacement
  • ✅ MSI install, installed-app GUI smoke checks, upgrade, downgrade rejection, and uninstall
  • ✅ MSIX manifest, all block-mapped content, cryptographic signature, and packaged GUI activation through development registration
  • ✅ Source archives match tracked files; release payload checked for personal paths and common credential patterns

This release also fixes transient Windows file-lock failures when saving settings, while retaining atomic replacement and rejecting intervening external edits. Package tests did not alter existing Python installations or defaults.

🚧 Clean-machine deployment, the signed MSIX certificate-trust installation path, full accessibility testing, and the complete Python install/update/uninstall lifecycle still need broader acceptance. Native compositor appearance requires visual verification. No claim of stable production readiness is made.
