Releases: DORON177/battery-hub

v1.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 25 Jul 09:13

The first stable release, consolidating everything from the 1.0.x and 1.1.x series.

Install

winget install DORON177.BatteryHub

(pending listing — see #407677)

Or download Battery-Hub-Setup-1.2.0.exe below. Existing installs update automatically.

Added

  • Hide devices from the ⋯ menu — polling and tray icons stop, calibration is kept, and hidden devices can be restored at any time.
  • Verifiable downloads — every release now ships SHA256SUMS.txt; see Verifying a download.
  • Unit tests and CI on every push, an issue template for unsupported devices, and contributing/security/changelog docs.

Fixed

  • Memory leak on the dashboard — a click handler was registered for every device card on every refresh and never removed, so listeners accumulated for the whole session and kept discarded cards in memory. This mattered because the app runs continuously in the tray.

Changed

  • Less work on the cursor-tracking highlight, and none at all when Reduce animations is on.

Note: installers are not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen will warn. Verify the download with the published checksum if you'd like to confirm integrity.

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 06 Jul 16:43

A full visual revamp toward a modern liquid-glass look.

New

  • Liquid-glass UI (light + dark) inspired by Apple/Google/Microsoft design
  • Windows 11 translucent acrylic window with native rounded corners
  • Neutral, color-reflecting glass that picks up whatever is behind it
  • Animated tab transitions, hover/press effects, morphing segmented controls, gel toggles, nav ripple
  • Reduce animations setting for those who prefer no motion
  • Glassy battery rings with a subtle glow

Auto-updates from any earlier install.

Battery Hub v1.1.3

@github-actions github-actions released this 05 Jul 10:56

New in 1.1.3

  • More accurate battery time-left — the estimate now learns from your full saved history (skipping charging and long idle gaps), so it's steadier and keeps improving over time.
  • Change a device's icon by clicking its icon on the card (no longer buried in the ⋯ menu).
  • Cleaner icon picker — limited to actual battery peripherals.

Installs automatically for anyone on 1.1.0+ (Settings → About shows the update).

Small fix: the update button no longer appears when you're already up to date. Installs automatically for anyone on 1.1.0+.

Battery Hub v1.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@DORON177 DORON177 released this 04 Jul 20:25

New in 1.1.0

  • In-app updates — Battery Hub now updates itself. When a new version is out, it downloads in the background and you just click Restart & install (Settings -> About). No more re-downloading the installer by hand.
  • Tray layout choice — pick one tray icon per device, or a single icon that lists them all (Settings -> System tray).

Install: download the .exe below and run it. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info -> Run anyway. Future updates install themselves.

Battery Hub v1.0.4

Choose a tag to compare

@DORON177 DORON177 released this 04 Jul 16:14

New in 1.0.4

  • Better support for devices that don't accept commands (some wireless headsets/mice): if the device broadcasts its battery on its own, Battery Hub now listens for it instead of giving up.
  • If a device you calibrated said "Can't read this device's battery", remove it and add it again on this version.

Install: download the .exe below and run it. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info -> Run anyway. Per-user install, no admin needed.

Battery Hub v1.0.3

@DORON177 DORON177 released this 04 Jul 16:02

New in 1.0.3

  • Check for updates built in (Settings -> About) — grab future versions with one click.
  • Device scan now reads battery from every channel, so more devices are detected.
  • Clearer message when a device can't be read.

Install: download the .exe below and run it. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info -> Run anyway (the app just isn't code-signed). Per-user install, no admin needed.
