Workprint for Mac 0.1.1 beta

Command-Q now hides Workprint and keeps it running in the menu bar. Tracking continues only if it is enabled and has permission; paused tracking stays paused. Choose Stop tracking and quit in the Workprint menu, or press Option-Command-Q, to exit completely. The menu-bar popover also offers Stop and quit.

Download the disk image, quit the old version, and drag Workprint into Applications to replace it. Your local activity is retained. macOS 14 or later; Apple Silicon and Intel. Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple.

14 automated tests passed. Broader physical-device and accessibility validation remains beta work. This is a direct-download beta, not an App Store release.

Windows remains on the separately tested 0.1.0 beta installer linked from the website; its window close/tray Quit behavior is unchanged and the installer remains unsigned.

Workprint's first public beta: native desktop activity counters, local analytics, Wrapped stories and share images.

Downloads

• Windows x64: per-user installer; no administrator rights required. Counting starts only after explicit consent in the app. This beta is not Authenticode-signed, so Windows may display a reputation/unknown-publisher warning.
• Mac (Apple Silicon + Intel), macOS 14+: Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple. Open the disk image, drag Workprint to Applications and complete the local privacy and Input Monitoring setup.

The app is not available through the App Store. This is prerelease software; retain an exported copy of any history you want to keep before updating.

Privacy

No account, no cloud analytics, no typed text or clipboard contents stored. Activity is aggregated locally. Pause, exclusions, export and deletion are available inside the app.

Validation

Mac: 14 automated tests, universal binary, Developer ID signature, Apple notarization, Gatekeeper acceptance and disk-image integrity checks, and actual relaunch-service tests with and without the sandbox.
Windows: native Windows build, 17 core checks, real WinForms screen and PNG rendering, Raw Input registration/unregistration, installer compilation, silent per-user installation, execution from the installed location and uninstall. Physical mouse/keyboard behavior across device types still needs broader beta testing.
