Mica4U v1.7.3 Release Notes

Major Features:

  • Logging Removal: Eliminated logging functionality for a lighter application footprint.
  • Enhanced Update System: Introduced UpdateManager class for streamlined update handling.
  • Improved Installer INNO --> NSIS

Improvements:

  • Simplified Temp Cleanup: Updated cleanup_temp to focus on .tmp files and _MEI directories.
  • Refined DLL Registration: Improved DLLRegistrationThread for robust DLL management.
  • Optimized Config Management: Removed log path from ConfigManager for cleaner configuration.
  • Streamlined Settings UI: Removed log level selection from SettingsDialog for simplicity.

Minor Changes:

  • DLL Status Check: check_dll_registered now uses registry query for accuracy.
  • Portable Mode Detection: ConfigManager now looks for explorerblurmica.dll rather than portable.ini .
