No Well ID Preventing Editing

We have old batches in WALDO at the plate stage (where Well IDs become important) but these don't technically have a well ID. when we make these batches now, WALDO assigns a Well ID which is fine (technically most likely wrong but we don't need that information at these stages), but the old ones are empty. and I cannot edit these plates without a Well ID present (was trying to edit the FluidX information which changed). can we either add Well IDs or is there a way to work around the Well ID issue?

Could you please give an example plate? Are these manual or robotic?

the batch I know has issues is Pile.1_RE (in the Lysate batch page). This is a robotic plate, but its one of the weird ones where we have some samples starting as powders (hence a lysate page), and then add already existing lysates at the extraction stage. This one was made in Zhaos DB which is why I think it doesn't have well IDs since it wasn't a full plate. If we make these now in WALDO I believe it gets a default well ID (even though its not needed at the lysate stage since its not a full plate).

I'm working on this. The layout for this plate is also giving me problems.

The problem is with samples that are not assigned to wells and need rendering. With normal plates, these are all assigned to a well, but if there is no well, there are null problems.
