Author facet sometimes disappears after removing filter when searching for a string with no results

Describe the bug

I was doing test T067 in the DSpace 10.0 Testathon. I searched for the name given in the test, but there was no result. When I removed the filter to search for another author, the entire author facete on the right side disappeared. I tried to recreate the bug a few times, but it was pretty inconsistent. Maybe every five times I removed the filter the author facete would disappear. Even rarer, sometimes the entire page would stop loading. I have attached two videos showing both bugs.

1. Filmed on Edge 146.0.3856.109. The bug happens on the first try.

2. Filmed on Firefox 149.0. On the second try the entire page stops loading and I can't click on anything.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Got to https://sandbox.dspace.org/home or https://sandbox.dspace.org/search.
2. Type any string into the "Search author name" field that won't have a result.
3. Remove the filter again.

Expected behavior

I can search and remove the filter as often as I want without it disappearing.

Thank you for creating this ticket @babicl! I was able to replicate both of these bugs after trying several times on Chrome as well, so looks like it is not browser-specific but just intermittent overall. Also observed on demo.dspace.org.
