With the upcoming release of DSpace 10, several new i18n keys have been introduced in the Angular UI. Currently, the Hungarian (hu.json5) translation is incomplete and contains some outdated terminology.
Describe the feature
We would like to:
- Translate all missing keys introduced in DSpace 9 and 10.
- Review and proofread existing translations for consistency and accuracy.
- Ensure that new features (Entities, Workflow improvements, IIIF) are properly localized for Hungarian users.
Describe the solution you'd like
We will provide a Pull Request that updates the src/assets/i18n/hu.json5 file.
The update will follow the official DSpace translation guidelines, ensuring that placeholders and HTML tags within the JSON5 values are preserved correctly. We will also perform a UI-based review to ensure that the labels fit the layout.
Describe alternatives or workarounds you've considered
None. Keeping the translations up to date within the core repository is the best way to support the Hungarian DSpace community.
Additional information
This work is being carried out by the Qulto team (a Silver DSpace Registered Service Provider). We are actively testing DSpace 10 and aim to have the Hungarian localization ready before the final release.
