v3.0.3
v3.0.3 – Wind Barb Direction Correction
Highlights:
- Wind Barb Direction Fixed:
- Wind barbs now correctly point in the direction the wind is blowing from (meteorological standard), rather than the direction the wind is blowing to.
- This change aligns with standard meteorological conventions and improves the accuracy of wind representation in the chart.
- For example, a wind barb pointing to the right indicates wind coming from the east (i.e., an easterly wind).
- Previously, wind barbs pointed in the direction the wind was blowing, which could lead to confusion.
- This change only affects the visual representation; the underlying wind direction data remains unchanged.
- Wind barbs now correctly point in the direction the wind is blowing from (meteorological standard), rather than the direction the wind is blowing to.
Upgrade Notes:
- No breaking changes. If you use wind barbs, you will see them now point in the correct direction (from the wind source).
- All other features remain unchanged.
- I know there are some requests for improvements to the wind display. For now we just try to get it correct in terms of meteorological convention.. Improvements and a new look may come at a later date!
