Version 2.0.0 introduces breaking changes that require migration:

  • Integration renamed: varsomnorway_alerts
  • Domain changed: All entity IDs will change from sensor.varsom_* to sensor.norway_alerts_*
  • New warning types: Met.no weather alerts now available alongside NVE geohazard warnings
  • Architecture change: One sensor per warning type (previously supported multiple types per sensor)

Migration Steps:

  1. Remove the old varsom integration completely from Settings → Devices & Services
  2. Delete any automations or dashboards referencing old sensor.varsom_* entities
  3. Install norway_alerts integration (via HACS or manually)
  4. Add integration for each warning type you want to monitor
  5. Update automations and dashboards with new entity IDs

What's New:

  • Met.no weather alerts integration (CAP-formatted data)
  • Improved configuration flow with conditional fields
  • Better county support (updated for 2024 Norwegian administrative structure)
  • Enhanced attribute structure with warning-type-specific fields
