Whole scenes, and your choice of upscaler

• Whole scenes, character alone. The build no longer crops. It keeps the whole frame, and only the frames where your character is the only one on screen: no other person detected, and the tagger counts one person. The character must fill at least half the frame height; change it under 2. Pick the character → ⚙️ Advanced settings.
• Choose the upscaling model. waifu2x (closest to the original, the default), Real-ESRGAN animevideov3, AnimeSharp, APISR or CDC. Press ! next to a model to read what it does, where it comes from and its licence. The models run in small tiles, so a frame needs about 1 GB of graphics memory instead of 8.
• Models download only when you choose them. Nothing extra ships with the program. A model you don't need can be deleted to free the space. waifu2x, AnimeSharp and APISR have a 2x and a 4x version: Automatic picks the right one, or choose one and only that version is downloaded.
• Clearer interface. Every button and section has an icon, ❓ marks ambiguous identities in review, and the review groups follow the shot and angle order.

Crowded anime give fewer images now, because the character is rarely alone on screen.

On the command line: --min-height, --upscaler, --upscaler-version, and alds.bat upscalers to list, download or delete models.

Updating

• With git: run git pull in the program folder, then restart the program.
• With the ZIP: replace the alds folder with the new one. Your projects folder, settings.json and .venv stay as they are.
• Characters you already built keep their crops until you build them again.
