New
- Works with the uncensored ROM hack. ROM hacks that only change the game's data, like the
uncensored speech, are now accepted. The launcher has a new ROM option that shows which ROM
you're playing (Original or Uncensored) and lets you switch between them any time. Saves and
settings are shared. - Improved free camera.
- It keeps Conker in view: when something gets between him and the camera (a wall, the barn's
big posts), the camera comes in front of it instead of ending up inside or behind it. - Where there isn't room even then, it rises a little or turns aside slightly to see him.
- It glides back out when there's space again, instead of crawling or popping.
- Tilted down, it settles just above the ground and stays steady instead of shaking.
- The camera now stays where you put it: Auto-Follow has been removed.
- It keeps Conker in view: when something gets between him and the camera (a wall, the barn's
Fixes
- The aiming crosshair no longer shows up during cutscenes and talks (for example while Conker
reads "What To Do"). - HD Icons pack 1.3.1: the small picture of each save file on the bar menu shows the right
place again. The pack used to replace some of them with pictures of other places.
If anything's off, please open an issue with what you were doing and a screenshot if you can.

Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.1.2
Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.1.2
A small update: your cash on screen, and a clearer name for the autosave icon.
Downloads
- Windows:

ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.1.2-Linux.tar.gz. Extract it and run
./ConkerBFDReloaded. Needs glibc 2.35+ (Ubuntu 22.04 or newer and similar), Vulkan, SDL2,
GTK 3 and FreeType. - HD Icons texture pack (optional):
ConkerBFDReloaded-HD-Icons-v1.3.0.rtz, same as last time.
Install it from Settings > Mods > Install Mods. Textures by
GameBeast92,
modified, under CC BY 4.0.
You need your own US ROM of the game. Your saves and settings carry over.
New
- Show Cash (Accessibility tab, off by default). Your cash on screen during play, drawn exactly
like it is on the pause screen: the wad of bills with its blinking eyes, the green "$" and the gold
numbers, in the top-right corner. When you get cash the numbers count up while the wad hops; when
you spend it they count down and the wad shakes. Pick When It Changes to have it slide in for a
few seconds after your cash changes (like the chocolate does for health), or Always to keep it
there. It hides during cutscenes. - Autosave Icon. The Saving Icon setting is now called Autosave Icon, which is what it is: Conker's
head in the corner while the game saves at checkpoints. Nothing else changed, and your setting is kept.
Show Cash is new, so if it shows up somewhere it shouldn't or looks wrong anywhere, please open an
issue with a screenshot.

Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.1.1
A smaller update: a new Accessibility tab, a longer tail spin, and a few fixes.

ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.1.1-Linux.tar.gz. Extract it and run

ConkerBFDReloaded-HD-Icons-v1.3.0.rtz, now with a redrawn
NEW GAME button. Install it from Settings > Mods > Install Mods. Textures by
GameBeast92,
modified, under CC BY 4.0.
You need your own US ROM of the game. Your saves carry over.
New
- Accessibility tab. Toggle R-Look, Toggle Crouch, Reduce Motion Effects, Pause When Unfocused
and the two new options below now have their own tab, so the Conker tab is tidier. (These options
start from their defaults after updating, so switch them back on if you'd turned them on.) - Longer Tail Spin (off by default). When Conker spins his tail after a jump, he floats higher and
glides down more slowly, staying in the air about a third longer. - Always Show Health (off by default). The chocolate stays on screen during play instead of
disappearing a few seconds after your health changes.
Fixes
- The crosshair no longer flashes for a moment after looking around with R or L.
- The pause screen no longer shows a thin smeared line at the far right edge.
- Light glows near the left and right sides of the screen in widescreen should no longer disappear
(experimental: not seen in-game yet, please report). - The free camera is no longer experimental: confirmed with a real mouse and controller.
If anything's off, please open an issue with what you were doing and a screenshot if you can.

Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.1.0
Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.1.0
A big quality-of-life update: an aiming crosshair, hold-to-skip cutscenes, a saving icon, new
camera options, N64 controller support and a handful of fixes.
Downloads
- Windows:
ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.1.0-Windows.zip. Unzip it and runConkerBFDReloaded.exe. - Linux (experimental):
ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.1.0-Linux.tar.gz. Extract it and run
./ConkerBFDReloaded. Needs glibc 2.35+ (Ubuntu 22.04 or newer and similar), Vulkan, SDL2,
GTK 3 and FreeType. - HD Icons texture pack (optional): the
ConkerBFDReloaded-HD-Icons.rtzfrom the 1.0.0
release still works. Textures by
GameBeast92,
modified, under CC BY 4.0.
You need your own US ROM of the game. Your settings and saves carry over from 1.0.0.
New
- Aiming crosshair. A red dot shows where a throw will land when Conker aims, lined up with
where the game really throws (tested on the knives in the barn). It stays hidden when you just
hold R to look around, and in the sniper scope, which has its own. - Hold to skip cutscenes (Skip Any Cutscene). Hold L to skip any cutscene, even the first time
and the ones the game never lets you skip. A ring fills while you hold, so a stray press won't
skip anything. - Saving icon. A little Conker head in the corner while the game saves.
- Pause when you alt-tab. The game waits for you while its window isn't in use.
- Classic and Modern now lock their settings. Picking one greys out the settings it decides;
pick the new Custom to change them yourself. - Camera: Field of View, Show FPS, Invert Y / Invert Both for the free camera's tilt,
and Mouse: Turn the Camera on or off. - N64 controllers and adapters work out of the box: raphnet, Mayflash, Hyperkin, the Switch
Online N64 controller and the 8BitDo 64. - Accessibility: Toggle R-Look and Toggle Crouch (press once instead of holding), and Reduce
Motion Effects (no motion blur).
Fixes
- Music: the right song now plays after a game over and reloading, the stone dragon's mouth no
longer blasts the level's music, and the outside ambience no longer carries on inside the bar. - The Conker-tab switches now update right away when you pick Classic or Modern.
- The README no longer lists shared multiplayer rumble as an issue: each controller already gets
its own player's rumble.
The music fixes, Field of View, Show FPS, the controller mappings and the camera options come from
CBFD-Recompiled V0.1.5 by Sean Ciaschi. Thanks!
Experimental
- The crosshair with throwables other than the knives, and with the magnum (not checked yet).
- The Linux version (only tested inside WSL so far).
- The free camera on a real mouse and controller, and frame rates above 60.
Known issues
- In widescreen, a few objects near the screen edges can be lit slightly differently than on the
N64. 4:3 is unaffected. - Light glows can fade out toward the screen edges in widescreen.
- The free camera doesn't work in the game's fixed-camera spots (on purpose).
- No macOS build yet.
Coming next: an "Always show HUD" option.
If anything's off, please open an issue with what you were doing and a screenshot if you can.

Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.0.0
Conker's Bad Fur Day: Reloaded 1.0.0
The first proper release! Conker's Bad Fur Day running natively on PC, recompiled from the original
N64 game, with a Classic mode that stays true to the N64 and a Modern mode for widescreen,
smooth frame rates and a free camera. Pick one on the Conker tab, or mix your own.
You need your own US ROM of the game (Conker's Bad Fur Day (USA).z64). Nothing from the game is
included.
Downloads
- Windows:
ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.0.0-Windows.zip. Unzip it and runConkerBFDReloaded.exe. - Linux (experimental):
ConkerBFDReloaded-v1.0.0-Linux.tar.gz. Extract it and run
./ConkerBFDReloaded. Needs glibc 2.35+ (Ubuntu 22.04 or newer and similar), Vulkan, SDL2,
GTK 3 and FreeType. - HD Icons texture pack (optional):
ConkerBFDReloaded-HD-Icons-v1.2.0.rtz. Sharp versions of
the HUD, menus and on-screen text, with the original colours kept. Install it in the game from
Settings > Mods > Install Mods. Textures by
GameBeast92,
modified, under CC BY 4.0. It's experimental:
many of its pictures haven't been seen in-game yet. - Source code to build it yourself (see the README).
What's in it
- Widescreen with no black bars: gameplay, menus, the pause screen and the intro all fill the
screen. - A widescreen pause screen, without the thin lines that used to run through it.
- Lighting fixed to match the original N64 (checked scene by scene against an accurate emulator),
and the shiny reflections are back. - Separate Music, Sound Effects and Speech volume.
- Skip Intro: straight to the bar menu.
- Classic / Modern / Custom presets.
- Menu buttons and titles no longer show lines where their pieces meet.
- Support for RT64 texture packs (
.rtz) and N64Recomp mods (.nrm) through the Mods menu. - Mouse and gyro aiming, rumble options, multiple controllers, mouse button binding and many fixes
from CBFD-Recompiled by Sean Ciaschi.
Experimental (feedback welcome!)
These work, but I haven't been able to test them everywhere yet:
- Free camera with auto-follow. Tested in the early levels. How it feels with a mouse and with a
controller still needs real-world testing, and so does the mouse-wheel zoom. - Smooth shading. Checked in several areas, not the whole game.
- Frame rates above 60. 60 fps is tested; 120 Hz and up isn't (no screen to test on).
- The Linux version. Only run inside WSL with software graphics so far.
Known issues
- In widescreen, a few objects near the screen edges can be lit slightly differently than on the
N64 (the game picks lights based on what's visible). 4:3 is unaffected. - The free camera doesn't work in the game's fixed-camera spots (on purpose), and it can slip
behind crates and objects. - The game still runs at 30 fps underneath, like the original, so controls feel exactly as they did.
- Light glows can fade out toward the screen edges in widescreen.
- In multiplayer, player 1's rumble shakes every controller.
- CBFD-Recompiled mods load, but not all of them have been checked.
- No macOS build yet.
Coming next: a crosshair for aiming throws.
If something's broken or feels off, please open an issue with what you were doing and, if you can,
a screenshot. Thanks for playing!
