Release list
0.5.0 “Jicama”
Added
- Update popup. When a new version is out, PR Bunny asks once, when you open it or come back
to it, and updates in place: download, restart, done. Not now hides it until the next version;
the bunny and Settings › About still say an update is out. - What's new after updating. The first time you open a new version you see what changed,
including every release you skipped. Releases with only fixes get a small note by the bunny. - Settings in tabs. General, Agent, Notifications, Review and Stacks, with a dot on any tab
that has unsaved changes. Stacks have their own section now.
Changed
- Settings › About has switches for the update popup and What's new, and Read the notes to open
them again. - Agent and settings icons are drawn from the same icon set as the rest of the app.
0.4.1 “Iceberg”
Fixed
- Self-review failing with
git worktree add … fatal: invalid reference. If copying your
branch was cut off the first time (for example, the app restarted during a slow first clone of a
big repo), Retry ran the overview without it and the deep review then failed. Retry, Resume and
Start again now copy the branch first. A review that already failed this way says so; start the
self-review of that branch again.
0.4.0 “Hay”
Added
- Ready check follows your PR on GitHub. A self-review finds the PR for its branch on its own,
even one you opened elsewhere, and keeps it current: checks, reviews, what blocks the merge, and
commits pushed since your last run (with a nudge to re-run). The header shows the PR, its state
and when it was last checked; click to check now. - Merge from PR Bunny. On your own PRs, a Merge card shows what's blocking (draft, conflicts,
failed or running checks, branch protection) and, once nothing is, lets you pick the method
(what the repo allows; squash by default), delete the branch, and merge after a confirm step.
It merges exactly the commit you were shown. Drafts get "Mark ready for review". - Reviewers: see who's on the PR and how they've reviewed, and add anyone by handle
(collaborators and teams), not only the suggestions.
Changed
- Self-reviews go from "In review · #9" (with a checks or approval icon) to "Done · merged" or
"Closed" in the lists, following the PR on GitHub, instead of counting as done once opened. - Findings: the summary bar stays under the tabs as you scroll, folding its summary away while it's
stuck. After Accept or Dismiss the page scrolls back up to the next finding. The findings list
scrolls with the page, and Ask stays just below the bar. - Activity bell: hovering it looks like the other sidebar items (pink only once you click to keep
it open). The badge stays until you open a notification or Mark all read, which now closes the
panel. - PR Bunny counts installs and update checks anonymously; no identifiers are sent or stored. The
installer adds your Mac type and the app adds its version to prbunny.dev requests, which only
increment counters. Nothing is saved on your Mac for it, and GitHub or a custom
PR_BUNNY_UPDATE_URL/PR_BUNNY_DOWNLOAD_URLgets no parameters.
Fixed
- Hidden PRs no longer show in the sidebar's Inbox card or light the Inbox dot. Hiding or restoring
a PR anywhere (Inbox, Settings › Housekeeping) updates the sidebar at once.
0.3.2 “Garlic”
Fixed
- The Activity bell no longer opens alongside the Inbox card or other sidebar popovers. Only one
shows at a time, and hovering another sidebar item closes it, even when you clicked it open.
0.3.1 “Fennel”
Changed
- The Activity bell opens when you hover it; click to keep it open.
- Hiding an inbox row is now an eye icon beside its action (shown on hover). Click to hide until it
changes, ⇧-click to hide for good. Every row's action lines up again. - Hovering an inbox row no longer shows a coloured bar on its left edge.
Fixed
- The hide options on inbox rows were cut off by the list.
0.3.0 “Endive”
Added
- Notifications. Get a desktop alert when a PR needs you or a review finishes. Pick them in
setup's new Notifications step or in Settings › Notifications:- GitHub: review requested, assigned to you, a PR in one of your stacks updated, your PR reviewed.
- Reviews: overview ready, deep review finished, failed or out of turns, PR changed since you
reviewed it. - Stacks: Review all finished, the across-the-stack pass ready. And new PR Bunny versions.
- Choose which repos, set quiet hours, stay quiet while PR Bunny is in front, and bundle bursts
("3 reviews finished"). Clicking an alert opens the review, stack or inbox. - An Activity bell in the sidebar keeps the recent events, so nothing is missed with alerts off.
- Alerts show while a PR Bunny tab is open (it can be in the background).
- Stop, resume and start again. Stop a running overview, deep review or stack layer from the
review page, the In progress cards or the stack. "Stop Review all" can keep finished layers or
throw them away. A stopped review keeps its overview and can resume where the agent left off. - Tidy the inbox. Hide PRs until they change or for good (one at a time or several at once),
with Undo. Remove reviews from the lists, "Clear all finished", and restore anything hidden from
the Hidden tab or Settings › Housekeeping, which can also clear finished reviews automatically.
Keyboard: J/K to move, X to select, E to hide, ⌫ to remove, Z to undo.
Fixed
- A PR only ever has one review running. Starting a review, a re-review and a stack's Review all at
the same moment no longer creates two. A PR whose stack is running Review all shows "Reviewing in
stack" and links to the stack. - Stopping a review now ends the agent process too.
0.2.0 “Dandelion”
Added
- Stack review. Review a whole stack of PRs together: open it from a stacked PR's Overview, the
inbox and search ("Review stack · 2 of 5"), Review home, orbunny review --stack.- Review all scans and deep-reviews every layer against its own parent, base first (or top
first), up to 3 at a time. Pause and resume any time. - Across the stack: once every layer is reviewed, it looks for what only shows up when they're
read together: one PR relying on another, problems fixed later in the stack, the same issue in
several layers (merged into one), and layers that clash. - One findings queue for the whole stack, and one GitHub review per PR, with suggested outcomes
and an optional summary comment on the top PR. Your own layers are self-reviewed and never
posted. - Spots new commits and rebases, and re-reviews just the layers that changed.
- Review all scans and deep-reviews every layer against its own parent, base first (or top
- Settings › Review › Stacks: review order, PRs at once, the Review all limit, and whether to include
approved or merged PRs.
Fixed
- Finishing setup and pressing "Open Inbox" no longer bounces back to setup the first time.
- The review page's tab spinner animates again.
- GitHub links go to the pr-bunny repo.
0.1.2 “Clover”
Changed
- Opening one of your own PRs (pasting its URL, or from the inbox or search) now starts a
self-review instead of reviewing it as someone else's: findings stay private, with the Fix /
Won't fix and re-run flow. - The Analytics icon and the theme toggle use the same light outline style as the rest of the rail.
0.1.1 “Basil”
Changed
bunny setuplooks much better: spinners with elapsed time and live output for anything slow,
colours, clearer prompts, and sudo asks for your password on its own line.- The installer (
curl -fsSL https://prbunny.dev/install | sh) is tidier too, and says so plainly
when it has to download from GitHub instead of prbunny.dev.
Fixed
- Installing Caddy (or gh) during setup could appear frozen for minutes while Homebrew updated
itself. Setup now installs without that update step. - The installer falls back to GitHub when prbunny.dev can't be reached even with a pinned
version (PR_BUNNY_VERSION=…).
0.1.0 “Alfalfa”
The first release of PR Bunny.
Added
- Review GitHub PRs with the coding agent you're already signed in to: Claude Code or Codex. No
API keys, and nothing is posted to GitHub until you press Post. - Overview of each PR (what it is, where it touches, review time, stack), then a deep review you
walk through finding by finding: accept, edit, ask, or dismiss. - Self-review your own branch before opening a PR:
bunny review, including uncommitted changes.
Re-run after fixing, then open the PR with suggested reviewers. - Per-repo review instructions:
.claude/skills/*/SKILL.md, anAGENTS.mdreview section,
CONTRIBUTING.mdand more, always read from the default branch. - Guided setup, in the terminal (
bunny setup) and in the browser on first launch. - Runs as a login service at http://127.0.0.1:4477, with optional https://prbunny.localhost.
- Automatic update checks, with one-click update and restart from Settings › About.
Install: curl -fsSL https://prbunny.dev/install | sh (macOS; needs gh).
