Blubber v0.1.3 — auto-update
Blubber now updates itself.
What's new
Auto-update. From this version on, Blubber checks for new releases on its own, downloads them in the background, and asks you once whether to restart. Choose "Later" and it installs the next time you quit. If you're offline or GitHub is having a bad day, nothing happens and the app carries on — a failed update check can't interrupt you.
You have to install this one by hand
Versions 0.1.0 through 0.1.2 shipped without any updater, so they can't upgrade themselves to this release. Download the installer below once, and you're done — every version after this one arrives on its own.
Install
Download Blubber.Setup.0.1.3.exe and run it.
The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. Code signing is on the list.

The latest.yml and .blockmap files below are what the updater reads. You don't need to download them.
Blubber OS v0.1.2
Blubber OS v0.1.2
Icon-quality release for Windows Early Access.
- Replaces the installer and desktop app icon with the transparent standalone slime BL mark.
- Uses the same BL artwork for the in-app favicon.
- Adds a fail-closed release check that extracts and compares the real installer and app icons before checksum generation.
- No functional feature changes from v0.1.1.
The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may show Windows protected your PC. Choose More info → Run anyway to continue.

Blubber OS v0.1.1
Blubber OS v0.1.1 is the launch-ready Early Access build for Windows x64.
Highlights:
- Self-contained Windows installer; Node, npm, Git, and Claude Code are not required to launch Blubber.
- Safer localhost API and WebSocket authorization.
- Fresh-machine onboarding and native Claude Code installation fixes.
- User data now lives outside the install directory and survives app upgrades and uninstall.
- Starter Kit installation now validates paths, scans conflicts, backs up first, and restores on partial failure.
- Honest local fallback for Academy waitlist submissions.
- Release pipeline now fails closed on type errors, leaked build-machine paths, native ABI failures, packaging hygiene issues, and checksum generation.
Install:
- Download Blubber.Setup.0.1.1.exe.
- Windows may show an unrecognized app warning because this Early Access build is not code-signed yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway to continue.
- Complete the installer and launch Blubber OS.
Verify the installer with the included SHA256SUMS.txt asset.
