Ahh, hello. I'm D'Angelo!

I'm an engineer with a love for the arts and alternative culture :D

By day, I'm a Test Engineer at Solid State Logic. I make sure the mixing consoles, interfaces, and hardware that musicians, producers, and broadcasters depend on don't let them down when it matters most. Fault diagnosis, QA investigations, automated test systems, and sometimes the visual inspections so everything looks as good as it sounds.

By night and on weekends, I take on freelance design engineering: PCB layout, firmware, CAD, 3D printing. A bit of everything, really. All for people who wanna make something that doesn't necessarily exist. Yet.

I hold a First Class MEng in Computer Science & Electronics from the University of Bristol, including a year at KU Leuven in Belgium. I focused a lot on signal processing and embedded systems, but I kept my skillset broad, doing things in AI (both traditional and deep learning), and also in the impacts of the technology we make, environmentally and ethically.

Longer term, I'm heading towards hardware design or software development roles. I pick things up fast and do my best work when I'm thrown into something unfamiliar - ideally something that keeps me on my toes well past the point I thought I had it figured out.
