Tag Explosion 0.46.91 improves automatic tag backups and export shutdown.

  • Automatic backups work on filesystems without hardlinks. The archive is exclusively created, completely written and synchronized before media changes start.
  • Occupied backup names are skipped without overwriting existing files or media aliases.
  • Backups no longer create empty placeholder files or unnecessary trash journal entries.
  • Closing the app while exports are running prevents additional exports from starting after the final shutdown check.
  • English and German screenshots use neutral sample metadata.

On filesystems without hardlinks, interruption during backup writing can leave a partial archive; media changes have not started at that point. The macOS app and DMG are signed and notarized.
