The first release of TangerineUI Classic — a fork of Tangerine Neue that stays close to the original v2.5.x look and feel. Based on Tangerine Neue 2.6.4.

New color variants (8 total)

  • 🌿 Garden — green + amber-gold
  • 🌊 Ocean — deep navy + sky blue
  • 🐦 Bluebird — classic Twitter blue, a nostalgic homage (with the old "Dim" dark mode)

Classic look

  • Profile header restored to the pre-4.6 layout (connected fields box, stats above tabs, segmented-control tabs)
  • Verified profile links shown with an accent checkmark at the start of the value (no green row tint)
  • Edit profile / Follow button rendered filled with the accent color

Mastodon 4.6 component fixes

  • Collections: full-width "Created by you / Featuring you" tab list, styled "Your Collections" heading with icon, solid-accent share modal buttons
  • Handle explainer popover on profiles ("a handle is like an email address") styled to match dropdowns
  • Avatar/header image-edit action menu: rounded corners
  • Hashtag filter chips on account timelines styled as pills
  • High-contrast mode (data-contrast="high") extended to the theme's own color variables

Installation

See the README. Existing Tangerine Neue users: the theme file names are unchanged (TangerineUI*.css), so it's a drop-in replacement.
